A New Blog Focusing on Scientific Literacy

science is beautiful

Are you sad because many of your favorite atheist-oriented blogs have closed up shop and you aren't sure what else to do with your free time? Do you find some of the science-related blogs written by career scientists a little too dense and/or long-winded? Are you interested in helping to spread scientific literacy with an atheist flavor?

If you answered "yes" to any of my silly questions (and even if you didn't), Renaisscience is a new blog you might like to check out. Here's how the author, a Belgian web developer, describes it:
This blog is about:
  • how science works
  • the fascinating questions it is trying to answer
  • some of the wonderful facts it has found out so far
  • the myriad ways in which scientific results have been applied
  • some speculation as to where science and technology might be headed
His hope is that improving scientific literacy, especially among young people, will help us reduce the number of atrocities committed in the name of religion. Sounds good to me! Check it out.
