Introducing Nuzzel

What if you could receive an email a day containing links to the top stories your Twitter and Facebook connections have been talking about during the past 24 hours? From the perspective of a blogger, it seems like this might be helpful. It would give you at least some sense of what interests the people with whom you are connected on social media. This is what Nuzzel aims to provide, and it is currently free of charge.

I signed up with Nuzzel a couple of weeks ago, connecting my Twitter and Facebook accounts. You can see what the result looks like here if you are curious. Obviously, the content is based on who you are connected with on Twitter and Facebook, so it will be different for everyone.

Is Nuzzel useful for this blogger? It is too soon to tell. I've just started using it, and I'm so used to getting my news via RSS that I'm usually aware of most of the stories making news before I check my email. Then again, I have definitely found some interesting stories I probably would have missed otherwise by using Nuzzel.
