Some Changes at Atheist Revolution

Any blog written by one individual is going to reflect the priorities and perspective of that individual. This means that changes in the individual's life are almost certainly going to be reflected in the blog. I am no exception, and so I want to make you aware of some of the recent changes in my life that have already impacted what you see here at Atheist Revolution and will continue to do so.

Like everyone, I have had periods of time where I am extremely busy in other aspects of my life that make my posts a bit more sporadic than I would like. What has been happening recently and will continue to happen for the foreseeable future is more than that.
  • The demands of my job have significantly increased, fueled by increased expectations, fewer resources, and the need for me to adopt more of a leadership role than I've had before. This results in less time for everything else in my life. The bottom line is that if I want to keep my job, I am going to need to devote more time and energy to it.
  • I am doing more and more writing in my job, and I find that this makes writing for fun - even blogging - seem somewhat less desirable than it has been.
  • I have been neglecting some of my other interests and hobbies more than I would like.

Does this mean that I am pulling the plug on Atheist Revolution? No. But it does mean that I am going to allow myself to post less often. I'll aim for at least one post per week. If I have more to say and find myself with extra time, I'll post more.

What else? I've never been particularly good about responding to emails in a timely way. My friends, family, and co-workers would tell you that this has never been limited to this blog. That won't get better anytime soon. It doesn't have anything to do with you but reflects the fact that more of my time in front of a computer will be spent working.
