Update on Atheist Nexus

I am still trying to piece together information to update you on Atheist Nexus. I am not yet to the point where I can make a firm conclusion that the site is not a scam, but I will share with you some of the explanations which have been offered so you may judge for yourself. I'll also say that I plan to continue to use the site myself until pending additional data. If I was confident enough to recommend you do the same, I would. I'm just not quite there yet.

The primarily explanation offered appears to be that the developer, who claims to be a fairly recent de-convert, worked on both Atheist Nexus and a Christian website. The atheist site was a pet project, while the Christian one was business.

There is no cause for concern, people. I am a web design freelancer in my other life - see me at XenonVisual.com. The website Divine Christian Center shows my company's contact information by default - as you can see, the site is not complete pending more information from my client. The only affiliation between myself and the church is professional. While do I remain strongly and actively opposed religion, Christian or otherwise, I do not discriminate when selecting clients.

Regardless of whether you buy this, it is noteworthy that they brought in a bona fide atheist blogger to temporarily administer the site, Brother Richard from Life Without Faith. That seems to be a good sign.
